What to Expect from This ABA Specialist Role
As an ABA Specialist in this BCBA position, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality behavior analysis services while guiding and mentoring staff. Key responsibilities include:
- Working under the supervision of the Clinical Director
- Supervising Program Supervisors and Registered Behavior Technicians
- Training ABA staff and overseeing their development
- Conducting behavioral evaluations and assessments
- Creating individualized support plans, progress reports, and re-assessments
- Setting clear therapy goals and quick lesson plans
- Providing high-level ABA therapies tailored to each client
- Meeting internal and external reporting deadlines with accuracy


Qualifications Required for ABA Training and BCBA Certification
To qualify for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification (required)
- At least one (1) year of experience completing comprehensive functional assessments and behavior support plans
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience serving individuals with lifelong disabilities
- Familiarity with ABA training methods and staff supervision
- Credentialed by CCHP (preferred but not required)
- Strong commitment to documentation, progress tracking, and therapeutic excellence
Responsibilities of an Experienced ABA Specialist
- Provide supervision and support to Program Supervisors and Registered Behavior Technicians
- Train ABA staff to ensure consistent and effective implementation of behavior plans
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral evaluations and reassessments
- Design individualized behavior support plans and monitor client progress
- Set therapy goals and develop brief, targeted lessons
- Deliver high-level ABA interventions tailored to client needs
- Ensure timely submission of internal and external documentation and reports
- Collaborate closely with the Clinical Director to maintain service quality
Weekly Schedule, Pay, and Independent Contractor Details
This is a full-time, contract-based position with an expected workload of approximately 50 hours per week, Monday through Friday. As an independent contractor, you’ll have flexibility while earning a competitive hourly rate of $70.00 to $75.00, depending on experience.
