Behavioral Technician Job Description
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or GED.
- Possess a valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and auto insurance.
- Either have experience working with children, individuals with developmental disabilities, elderly, or other vulnerable populations OR be currently enrolled in college pursuing a related major (Education, Child Development, Psychology, Nursing, etc.).

Role Summary:
As a behavioral technician, you will:
- Provide in-home, play-based teaching to children with autism.
- Work under the guidance of a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst).
- Help clients develop essential life skills, communication abilities, and social skills.
- Support children with diverse needs, from non-verbal communication development to improving social skills and self-help abilities.
- Complete training and certification to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), a requirement for insurance-funded services. All training is provided and paid for.

Certification Process
Paid training across a span of three months to achieve RBT Certification.
Includes:
- 40-hour online course
- Three days of hands-on training
- Direct observation and feedback
- Passing the RBT exam
Upon achieving RBT Certification, your pay rate increases to $26 per hour.

- Half an hour of paid drive time to and from the client’s home.
- 100% pay for client cancellations within 24 hours of scheduled sessions.
- Paid indirect hours for training.
- Eligible for full benefits at 32 hours per week following the successful completion of a three-month probationary period.
